Arrivederci 2007

What a truly fantastic year we had! Seems like just yesterday we were ringing in 2007 and waiting, not very patiently, for our baby to be born, me making the decision to stay at home with our daughter, planning Sofia's first trip to Italy, celebrating at Zia Paola and Uncle Dan's wedding, singing Happy 30th to Anthony and wishing Sofia the best 1st Christmas ever! There is so much to look forward to in 2008 and so many more happy memories to be made.

FELICE ANNO NUOVO!!

Here comes the bride...

Yesterday was my very good friend Lauren's wedding and it couldn't have been a better time! Everything was perfect - they had wonderful weather, the food was delicious and the dancing went on all night! The beautiful bride and her handsome groom had a truly fantastic time and are now on their way to their honeymoon in Hawaii! We love you guys and wish you the best of everything!!!

The day after Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring because they were all in food coma and tired from unwrapping gifts!

Sofia's first Christmas really was spectacular and so special for us. Christmas Eve is spent with Anthony's family and after a wonderful dinner at La Locanda we went to her first children's mass at church and then to Nonna Maria's to open gifts. Later she saw Zia Paola and Uncle Dan back at our house for still more unwrapping of gifts!

Christmas Day we always spend with my family in MD and we had a fantastic time opening more gifts, being silly with the camera, eating with family and friends and then relaxing in front of the Christmas tree later that night.

2 Days until Christmas

We were in recovery mode all day from the late night including Miss Sofia, so it was a lazy morning and then a very productive afternoon/evening. Last minute shopping, wrapping and errands in the rainy afternoon while Sofia napped here and there in the car.

She received some early Christmas gifts last night from friends and I was able to get a picture of her wearing one of them from cousin Becky. More pictures to come of Sofia and her 1st Christmas gifts!

3 Days until Christmas

Tisk, tisk...I did not post yesterday! But it wasn't because I didn't want to, but rather I didn't have the time, so better late than never.

Anthony turned 30 yesterday! He and I stayed up until midnight Friday night/Saturday morning just so I could be the first to wish him a happy birthday. Sofia was the next to give him birthday wishes (later that morning, of course) and also handed him the card she "picked" out for him! As long as she was able to keep the envelope anyway.

We had a big party for him yesterday evening with roughly 65 in attendance and we couldn't have asked for a better time! It was so wonderful to see everyone and we are so thankful for the family and friends in our lives!
