Dr. Seuss Week

In celebration of his upcoming birthday, Mario's class had a very fun Dr. Seuss week at school. My adorable little cat in the hat.

Sisterhood

I have two little brothers but growing up almost through high school, it was just the one brother. I love them, I love how our relationship has evolved over the years and I'm grateful for how often I get to speak with them, although I do wish I could see them more often.

Siblings are awesome and the quote "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times" comes to mind. Having personal experience with little siblings, I love seeing how my girls interact with one another, how they show their love and sometimes not so loving ways.

I love looking back on the sweet side of the younger little sisters.

And I loved matching their clothes, not sure I could get away with it today though.

The most different of personalities, I enjoy watching them interact with one another whether they're looking at things in the same way or taking completely different views.

I love peeking in on him when he's doing anything on his own, even just watching a show.

Those toes peeking out though...

sleepy chicco

If you had told me 6 months ago I would be so excited to take a photo of a cat, let alone MY cat, I would have told you that you were crazy. Don't get me wrong, I like animals. I think they're adorable, loving and sweet. BUT...I never thought I would own one at this time and let alone a cat. But we lucked out with Chicco.

He is already bored with me and the amount of photos I'm snapping up of him. But he sure is cute!

Change is good

So, it's time. The girls want to paint their room. Move over pink, teal is the new color in town. They started Marie Kondo-ing their room with some guidance from me. Taking things down from the wall resulted in some things to toss, some things to store and some things to donate.  I had to go through before they got everything down to snap up some memories. They may want to keep some things the way they are, but they may not too. And that is something I'm going to just have to accept.

My little girls are growing up.

Little memories all over their room. The pink pendant I made for Sofia's Fancy Nancy 5th birthday party. Each of them have a shelf dedicated to first photos, hand or foot print in clay and a photo of their baptism along with some little items that mean a lot to me.

They have a ton of books in their room and along one wall and a short bookshelf with this READ sign I made for their room. I also had to photograph the valance that I made and that I'm sure we won't be keeping. Won't match teal and I'm sure they'd like to pick out a new fabric that I can turn into a valance.

And the random shelves of souvenirs and photos.

The wall stickers will be going down and out. They were so sweet and I'll always remember putting them in their room as a surprise to them and them loving it. They have been in this corner of their room near a bunch of floor pillows and stuffed animals and I'd often find them curled up there with a book or toy.

And then this little guy sneaks in to check himself out. Cats and mirrors, it's too much fun.
