Mario loves his big big sister too!
The girls are too cute with their little brother. Always wanting to be near him, see what he's doing and checking in on every noise he makes. Sofia gets a little sad since she's gone all day at school and therefore, doesn't spend as much time with him at home like Olivia does. So she tries to make up for it when she's home by making funny faces or noises to get him to smile and on most days will do her 10 minutes of reading to him alone. It's adorable!
my little yogis
Yet another snow day and tired with their games and toys, I turned on amazon prime's yoga for beginners for both girls and surprisingly kept them entertained for an hour.
They were so good and serious about it too.
My little twins, love them so much.

How sweet is that? She made this at school for her little Valentine, baby brother Mario Luca. Love that girl!

Sledding Sofia
We've received a lot of snow this Winter. I mean A LOT. Too much in my opinion but not the girls. They love it and have gotten out in it almost each time it's snowed. I love these two pictures of Sofia during a mild snowfall in January when she was waiting to go sledding with Anthony and Olivia. She got the sled and scooted herself up and down the driveway. Great workout and definitely tired her out but I loved looking out the window and seeing this. She was determined.
Mario's first trip to Maryland
Just a few pictures from Mario's first visit to Maryland last month. He was great on the car ride there and back and settled in just fine to home in Maryland. He received lots of snuggles and I don't think he was put down all weekend.

Bath Time for Mario Luca
My little man loves being in the infant bath tub! He calmed down when he was getting sponge baths when we first brought him home, but now that he's been in the tub, there's no going back. He gets so serious and just looks around. Probably because the 4 of us are oohing and aahing up a storm at him and he's wondering what the fuss is all about.
Love this picture. The 3 musketeers overseeing bath time.

my girls
and then there are these two, how can you not love them??? they really have been so great in these first 8 weeks with our new addition and there have been so many moments that I am so grateful they have one another and have been so patient with me.
they love our new baby. I think the feeling is mutual.
First few days at home...
Those first few weeks were quite a blur and while I didn't capture as much as I would have wanted on camera, we did get some things.
Nonna Lisa and Nonno Nicky come to visit the day after Christmas
diaper changes and adorable baby feet
sleepy baby and a sweet profile
that tiny little hand
sleeping in the light of his first Christmas
sleeping on mommy, love.

Morning baby
Finally out of bed and moving around long enough to take some pictures of my own when it was just the little man and I. I loved just staring at him in the hospital. Honestly, I still love to just stare at him even now. But there was something about the great light we got in our hospital room window and his sweet little face that melted my heart. That and I wanted to capture my baby in the hospital room and a few little mementos since it will be the last time I'm in the hospital having a baby of my own. I know I shouldn't make that decision now since we're still in the very early days, but I made that decision and I'm sticking to it.
Oh that profile, how I love it so much.
The hospital bracelet...
Flowers my girlfriends brought...
Those lashes...
The going home outfit...
Welcome back to my blog!
Seeing how Mario Luca will be turning 8 weeks tomorrow, I thought it was about time I get back to blogging. I've had a couple of things to do lately that's kept me away. Namely, having my third.
I guess I should start back my going back to the night before we met our little man. Back to the night it was just two little princesses in the house and one very pregnant mama. That seems like a million years ago right now.
The girls just before lights out and not knowing how their lives were going to be turned upside down (for the best) the next day. Both very excited to finally meet this baby.
The three amigos. My girls. I love them so much. I was very emotional the morning of and leaving the house. My mom was here and in charge of the girls for the next few days while we would be in the hospital but it was still hard leaving them that morning knowing our lives were going to be forever changed in just a few short hours.
And a few short hours later our lives really changed by meeting our son. He wouldn't have a name until the following evening, but little man was here and making sure we could hear him. 20 3/4 inches long and 7lbs, 9 ounces arriving at 10:38am. And look at all that beautiful dark hair!!!
Calmer and oh, so cute.
Finally! I got to meet my son. Still not able to hold him but got to see him up close.
And only another couple hours and I get to hold my son. Man, did that feel like forever!
My girls come to visit!
SO proud of her big sister role, Olivia Maria meets baby brother. Love at first site. For both of them.
The nonnas with the baby. Love this picture!
Meeting Nonno Mario too! Big sister Olivia doesn't move too far from him the entire time.
Baby meets Zia Paola for the first time too!
