We went on a mini field trip yesterday morning to Valley Forge State Park. Another freezing day with high winds, so we were forced to stay in the car where it was warm, so we were ok with that. I had snacks and made the girls "telescopes" to search out for any wild animals. Sofia was fascinated with all the animal tracks we saw in the snow and we made up stories of where they were going and what they were doing. Unfortunately, the only animal we actually saw was a squirrel which neither Sofia nor Olivia seemed very impressed with.
Still, it was nice to get out of the house and go for a drive through the park. Sofia and I were talking about when it gets warmer and we come back to the park and how different it will look. She said we'll probably see more animals when it's warm too "because they're at their home now all nice and cozy."
