Happy Birthday Nonno Nicky!
Our weekend ended with my dad's birthday celebration with the family. There was a big meal, an ice cream cake and presents. But most of all, we were all together so in the end that it is all that really matters.
Happy Birthday to the best dad out there! We love you very much!

some of my favorite (Fall) things...
candy corn...tastes like tough plastic, but boy is it delish!
baking. I will bake any time of the year, but there's something about keeping the kitchen warm with the oven constantly full of cookies, pies or breads. My latest and greatest chocolate chip cookies. I've been on the quest for the perfect recipe and modifying it here and there to come up with the absolute best. Thankfully I have wonderful taste-testers at home and amongst our friends.
pumpkins! Whether they're just for display...
painted all pretty by my the girls...
stickered up from a fun birthday party...
or big and green. I'm in love with the Cinderella or Fairy tale pumpkins everywhere this year and I jumped on that bandwagon fast. We call this one Mr. Greenie. Very creative, I know.
I forgot to take a picture of my boots. Man oh man, do I love my boots this time of year too!

La dentista
Big day for my 3 year old today - first trip to the dentist! I'm totally going to brag for this post because she was awesome. She was better than awesome. Awesome-er. She climbed up in that chair and did everything our super wonderful dental hygienist asked her to do. And she was polite and said
"yes please" and "thank you" after every rinse and question. It was adorable. And big sister Sofia had been talking it up all morning and I thought for a second it was too much, but it wasn't and she was fine.
Sofia was up next, old news for her since she's been 3 times now but she was great, excited to be there and get her teeth "sparkly."

Baby Giuliana
A few weeks back my sister-in-law asked me to take some pictures of the newest addition to the Palumbi side of the family..Giuliana Linda Yeager. I had such a great time and she was the perfect little newborn. She's already changed so much from these set of pictures, but I wanted to post them anyway because I was pretty happy with how they turned out.
She really liked these blocks!
Love little baby features...
Still holding tight to her own little hands.
Sleeping beauty.
Not everyone is a fan of black and white shots when it comes to babies, but I love them. Little noses, lips and chins totally stand out to me.
And don't get me started on profiles! I love profiles of little children and Giuliana's is so great. Especially with that crop of hair!
She was a good sport for the hour and a half I took pictures but she was definitely tired in the end. As any newborn would be. Or adult too!

Time for the pumpkin patch!
I love Fall! This morning I made pumpkin bread, I have been enjoying my pumpkin spice latte for a few weeks now and Halloween costumes are in full swing. Another favorite Fall activity for us is our annual visit to Linvilla Orchards. We go often during the year, but our Fall trip is a favorite for the girls since they love pumpkins. We went again this Fall with Simon and the girls loved having their buddy with them to take in all the fun.
Looking through these pictures, I couldn't believe that Sofia could see out of the top one this year!
Bacione for Simon!
Giuliana enjoyed the outing from the Bjorn! Slept basically the entire time. Don't you just love newborns?!
The girls were so excited for our afternoon and wore themselves out running around and being out in the fresh air. I love our Fall tradition of going to pick out pumpkins and I love that they love it too.

Olivia a.k.a. Pippy Long Stocking
Yes, it is quite the milestone when you can put your little girls hair into a braid or two. At least it is in this house. Olivia sat so still when I braided her hair and was beyond excited to see her new do in the mirror when we were all done.
Naturally, there's always time for a funny face pose too.

One Fine Day
One fantastic, if not, ultra busy day. But we went from one fun thing to another and I'm pretty certain we will all be sleeping very well tonight.
First started off with Anthony's first run, a 5k to kick off our Township Day. He ran it with a couple of friends of ours and it was so great to be there with them. Even if it was pretty early this morning.
And they're off!
And so are Sofia and Olivia. Thankfully the run took place one of their favorite parks so that's where we went to kill time.
Future Terrapin!
We are fans of the tire swing.
My other little future Terrapin
Back to see Daddy cross the finish line! Girls were cheering and so excited for him!
After coming home for a yummy pancake breakfast, it was time to start out for the remaining festivities of our Township Day. What's a Township Day without a parade? Love that it's right at the end of our street too. There were only about 43 firetrucks.
Which of course the girls loved.
Covered ears, but big smiles!
And Sofia's smile only got bigger when she saw the horses too!
I loved this guy.
Girls were not particularly fond of this guy.
Sofia wanted to know why the windows were opened. Might be time to sit her down with some good old movies.
Fantastic time at the festival running into friends and taking in the food and craft vendors after the parade. Such a great turnout too and it was our first year going without a wagon or stroller. Must mean the girls are getting big!
