Sofia and I met up with Maria and Ethan at Linvilla Orchards this morning to pick some fresh fruit and we had a fantastic time! First you hop onto a pick-up truck with a very long bed lined with hay and the farmer takes you around to all the different fields to pick your own fruit and vegetables. He comes around about every 10 minutes or so for easy access to all the different produce and to take you back to the main grounds - talk about convenience! During this time of year you can pick fresh blueberries, raspberries, peaches, plums, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants.
Not only can you go to Linvilla daily to load up on the freshest of fruits and veggies, but periodically they have festivals and special seasonal hayrides. Sofia had a great time walking around the orchards and "helping" me pick the fruit. After we got home and put all our goodies away, we shared a plum and it was delicious!!!
