Chex Mix Addiction
The holiday season is in full swing and I have been tearing up the kitchen with goodies. I've made my usual banana bread, chocolate fudge and blueberry bread, but this week I made for the very first time...Chex Muddy Buddies. We've all had them at one point or another I'm sure, but I never really realized how the recipe is so simple! Check out their website for more delicious recipes with so few ingredients and taking little of your time.
Ingredients:
9 cups Chex cereal (I used Rice Chex)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Directions:
1. Measure cereal into a large bowl and set aside.
2.In a 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered for 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3.Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Buon Appetito!
