Super simple two part project

I found this great easy craft to do with the girls not too long ago on the wonderful world of Pinterest and we had so much fun doing it together. And it turned out cute too! Win-Win!

If you go to the link it shows you the very simple step-by-step guide to doing your own. This project did take us a couple of days only to let the paint dry but dragging it out for the girls was no big deal, just gave them something to look forward to for the rest of the project.

So, one day I had some plain white computer paper on the table for the girls to have at it with water coloring. Same day we painted a white canvas, we chose green because that's what I had at home. Easy, right? Step one finito.

Step two - I had a 1.5 inch circle punchout so we used that to punch out circles from the pages that were water colored. Lined them up on the canvas really in no specific order and mod podged away. Once we mod podged the back of each circle and placed it in the spot we wanted and did that for all the circles, I went over each circle with more mod podge to prevent the paper from curling up and falling off. This part caused the paint to smear a bit but you can't really tell since the canvas is a darker color. Had we left the canvas white, our secret would be out that we got a little messy.

But we think it came out cute and it's now gracing one of our walls. Girls are proud of their work and I love that we have a little piece of modern art to showcase.
