Rhinos, Flamingoes and Monkeys...Oh My!

The girls and I had a fantastic morning at the Philadelphia Zoo. We arrived just as the gates were opening and walked for almost 2 hours before we were tired and the sun was getting too hot to walk anymore. Olivia with her map and Sofia with her camera, we were set for a morning of checking on the polar bear, laughing at the monkeys and running from the peacocks. No joke, my girls like peacocks from afar only.

Sofia was not happy to have been asked to stand still on our way to the rhinos. How cute do they look in their hats though!?!

Still too short for the telescope. Maybe next year!

All set and ready with her camera. The thing rarely leaves her side when we are out and about these days.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Seriously? How cute are these two? We saw the baby just in the Fall and it was beyond adorable. Today it's still adorable and I'm loving how it clings to the momma. Not sure if momma monkey appreciates me taking a picture of her little one.

Little cuddle monkeys. Reminds me of my little girls.

Big sister Sofia checking out the polar bear napping.

Little sister Olivia eating her pretzel and watching the polar bear too. Just not as brave to step up on the rail.

The Lorax story going through the zoo right now. Adorable props up everywhere and makes me want to watch the movie with them.

My own little animals ready to go home. They were amazing this morning. Lots of walking, oohing and ahhing.

  2. Thanks Molly! The girls have yet to experience the magic of the movie theatre. Hopefully soon after we return from our vacation though.
