Franklin Institute with a special guest
Last week I took the girls on a surprise before-the-end-of-summer-vacation-outing to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. We had been talking about going this summer and with all the other things going on, had to save it for the last morning trip before the girls begin school. But awhile back we had talked about going with their favorite babysitter, Ms. Maria and so we invited her along too. Such a great morning and I know the girls loved having Ms. Maria there with us too.
Why yes, that is a giant heart Sofia and Ms. Maria are posing in front of. Sofia's last visit to this museum was just after Olivia was born, Anthony took her out for a special trip and from that trip 2 and a half years ago, she still remembers the huge heart you can walk through and that makes loud ba-boom noises. Left such an impact on her.
Olivia learns a little about how magnets work and has a good ol'time playing with them in the electricity section.
More fun in the electricity section, a dance floor that lights up when you jump around on it. I don't have to tell you how much my little jumping beans loved this thing!
We love Maria! So patient with the girls, creative and fun. It really is a great day when you have a friend, who later becomes a babysitter that your girls just love.
And thank you to Maria for snapping a picture of the girls and I. Doesn't happen often enough!
