A trip to Dutch Wonderland

One day this past week, we took the girls to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA. The weather was gorgeous, the lines were seldom a long wait and the girls slept so well that night - just a few signs of a perfect day.  Nonna Maria, Nonno Mario and Simon came with us as well and that just added to the fantastic day.

Olivia's face cracks me up in this picture. It's like she's thinking to herself "does mommy know this isn't a real cow?"

Simon and Nonna Maria enjoy the car ride together.

Sofia made me proud and was all business driving with Nonno Mario. She did not take her eyes off the road in front of her for even one second. I could not stop laughing.

Meanwhile, Olivia spotted me from yards away and was waving to her adoring fans like it was her job. She had no problems waving with one hand while attempting to still steer with the other hand. Luckily we have some time before they're driving.

This was a proud big sister moment for Anthony and I. Of course all three kids wanted to be in front to honk the horn and "steer" the truck, but with only two seats, Sofia opted to climb in the back with Nonna. Proud mommy moment getting out of the front seat for her little sister when Olivia started tearing up that she wanted to steer the truck.

The Frog Prince water show. Not sure who enjoyed it more, the girls or myself.

The carousel is always a favorite with the Palumbi bambinas.

The train that took you through the park, a fun ride for everyone.

Daddy and Olivia on the Fun Slide. This picture was one second before Olivia lost her hat which resulted in tears, tears, tears. She got off and the first thing she said to me "My hat came off! I'm not doing it ever AGAIN!"

Simon and Nonna Maria take their hats off for the slide. And enjoy themselves.

Sofia was a completely different story. At first she didn't want to get on and then saw her sister go on. Well, she went on like 8 times after that. She LOVED it!

Look at that smile, how sweet!

The kids each won a little turtle from the only game they played. They went on countless rides and we still didn't even make it to the waterpark portion of the park. I guess just the more reason to try to visit the park next year!
