Hurricane Sandy came and went...

Weird couple of days there in the beginning of the week when crazy winds and rains kept us indoors for 2 days. Girls were great about it and only too happy to have both mommy and daddy at home. We are thankful to not have lost power during the storm, but we were inside and had to come up with things to do rather than watch TV 24/7.

I was in the kitchen most of the morning cooking up stuff just in case we lost power and we would be good to go with baked goods, breads and sauces. Girls and I made sugar cookies mid-morning and they had fun decorating them up for Halloween.

They were quite delicious.

Daddy loves being outside during storms so out he went onto the porch with the girls a few times to take in the winds and rains. It wasn't freezing cold but the winds were really bad at times and sent both girls running inside for shelter.

Play-doh is always a sure way to keep them occupied for some time.

And then we did manicures and pedicures which is always a favorite with the girls too. Olivia chatted it up with the nail polish selection for awhile before she realized Daddy was snapping pictures up of her. So stinking cute.

Fish-kisses are the sweetest.
