After a several hour delay in the Dominican Republic airport, a 3 hour flight to Newark, NJ and a 2 hour drive back to Havertown, PA, we arrived home last night at midnight. It was a long day, but it didn't put a damper on our very nice week on vacation.
We had 3.5 days of nice sunny 80 degree weather and then 3.5 days of overcast 70 degree weather with sporadic showers throughout the day and night. Everyone we encountered from hotel staff to street vendors to the islanders were extremely friendly and never stopped smiling. Plenty of reason to smile with the tall palm trees, breathtaking ocean views, beautiful gardens and happy vacationers everywhere!
