Welcoming the Pilot to the family

Well, we did it...we traded in both of our cars and bought one new car, the Honda Pilot. We are now a one car family! Because of this move, we're going to be saving money on insurance, only one car to fill up on gas and only one car to worry about having to maintain. We're hoping this is going to be a fairly easy adjustment, but as with anything, it's an experience that we will learn from and benefit in the long haul.

It's been only a couple days now and that new car smell is still lingering around, which I have never been a fan of. We've been driving with the windows down and I even bought a cheap-o air freshener, but nothing seems to be working yet. Any advice on how to get rid of it would be greatly appreciated.

  2. To get the smell out of your car just keep the windows open and buy like two or three more cheap-o air freshener's and the smell should go away. I would get the scent French Vanilla, just because it smells really good.

  3. Lisa,
Congrats on the new car and becoming a one car family. We have started to talk about doing the same thing. My husband works shifts, so the only time I wouldn't have a car was when he was on daywork. Keep us posted on how is all works out for you guys.
Who will have the car during the day, you or Anthony?

  4. Coleen,

I will have the car during the day since Anthony takes public transportation to work. Which is good for errands and anything I have planned for Sofia. I hope it works well for us!!!

  5. I heard if you cut an onion open and leave it in a bowl of water in the car it absorbs the smell. Just kidding, but it sounded good didn't it?
