Growing up in Italy, our parents would take us to fun places whenever they could and one of our favorite destinations was Oria Zoo. Oria is a small town about 30 minutes from where my mom is from and just on the outskirts of the town is a church and a zoo. Not sure the connection between the church and the zoo, but our tradition every visit was to pay our respects in the church, a walk through the zoo and then some ice cream. A pretty nice tradition if you ask me.
We took Sofia our first Sunday in Italy and she had a fantastic time! She became more and more excited with each new animal we saw and her smile grew with each turn through the zoo.
