My mom's hometown of Mesagne is about a 15 minute drive from some beautiful beaches along the Adriatic coast. Needless to say, we went often and Sofia's love of the beach grew with each visit. We go first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds (and the afternoon heat), stay a few hours and we're home back in time for lunch and our daily siesta.
