8 months old!

Olivia had her 8 month well-baby visit last night and she's "doing great." She is growing like a cute weed weighing 20 lbs and is a whopping 28 inches long!!! Definitely think we have a volleyball player on our hands.

My baby girl LOVES to eat and is eating homemade baby food (sweet potatoes, squash, applesauce and mashed bananas) and then liking the store bought kind as well (green beans, carrots and every once in awhile peas). She loves playing with her banana puffs and cheerios and is bringing them to her mouth really well. However, she doesn't like letting go of them. So, each time she brings her hand to her mouth with her little treasure, I need to physically open her hand for her. She'll get the trick sooner or later!

Olivia is not crawling yet, but is sitting up really well on her own and reaching for everything nearby. She is very good at rolling around a room to get to where she wants to go. I have to get a video of that soon because it's fun to watch!

And she adores her big sister! Whenever Olivia sees Sofia she squeals so loudly and starts kicking her legs and moving her arms back and forth. Sofia is, by far, the best entertainment for her. And when Sofia is giving out hugs and kisses, she is sure to include Olivia and the smile that lights up my baby girl's face is priceless.
