I love Alberobello! When we lived in Italy we went often enough with family and friends and we always had fun that it quickly became a favorite spot. Some trulli houses have painted symbols, some are stores, some are restaurants or bars and some are just plain ol' houses. Each is unique in its own way.
In the trulli that are set up as stores, you can go in and taste some of the specific flavors of Puglia before buying. Grappa, olive oil, and sweets are just some of your options. All are delicious!
The girls have enjoyed coming to Alberobello with us over the years. Sofia definitely remembers Alberobello from years past, the trulli houses are pretty hard to forget once you've seen them in person. It's a lot of walking through the streets which go up and down the hill that is central Alberobello. But gelato and playtime always await once our tour is over and before heading back home to Mesagne.
