Porto Cesareo

We like to visit the beach town of Porto Cesareo when we're in Italy. It's fun for a nice walk through the town and along the port where the boats await the fishermen. It has a very fun night life but it's been awhile since we've been any later than 8pm. Great bars and restaurants, adorable shops and a collection of tourists and locals bustling around. The girls love it and at the early hour which we tend to visit, it's perfect since they can have most of the walkways to themselves. Which is ideal for when Sofia would rather push the stroller than sit in it. There is less worrying for other people's ankles involved with fewer people out yet.

Zio Antonio and Sofia searching for lone crabs that make their way onto the port walls.

One of Sofia's favorite cars ever...the cinquecento or Fiat 500. Or Luigi from the Cars movies.

The bar/gelateria where we have visited on more than one occasion. It's nice at this hour. Quiet and you can have any table you want still.

My mom loves this drink, Gingerino. I love the cool red color a bit more than the drink itself.

Antonio and I take the Succo di Frutta alla pera. Somehow it doesn't feel like a little kids drink in a nice glass with a couple of ice cubes.

The girls take their gelato. As you can see, Olivia loves it.

Mom checking out the local fish.

Yay, I made it into a picture!

About to head back home. Olivia was on the verge of tears because she didn't want to leave.

Ci vediamo l'anno prossimo Porto Cesareo...
