Pittsburgh with the Pitocco's

This past weekend found my whole family in Pittsburgh visiting my dad's side of the family. The girls caught a case of the giggles along the way and were impressed with all the things we saw along the way. One farm after another which had us all mooing and baaing in no time. Once we got to our mid-day point, it was all valley's and low lying mountains which is not something you see in the Philadelphia area. They were impressed.

We met up with my parents and Antonio in Breezewood and after our stop, we were feeling the full bellies, long car ride and late hour. We were all very excited to see our comfy hotel beds.

But after a good night's sleep and a full belly from breakfast the following morning, we were all set to spend the day with the family.

Safe to say that the girls enjoyed their first trip to a Waffle House. I did too!

Grandma and Grandpa with the grandkids and great-grandkids. Chase is the newest great-grandchild for our grandparents.

4 generations of Pitocco

The girls loved visiting with Grandma and Grandpa at their cozy condo. They were quick to sit and color some pictures to leave with their great-grandparents.

The girls also fell in love with Aunt Roseanne and Uncle Paul! They had a great time at their house and were easily entertained by the bubble machine. Definitely an energy-burner since the girls loved running after the bubbles and had to actually take breaks too.

Zio Scotty gets in on the bubble fun too!

Paparoni's hanging out and taking in all the action. And Legopini too.

More bubble fun. I'm going to need to invest in one of these things.

Sofia and Olivia became quick fans of dominoes too. But not that they paid attention to how you're supposed to play them but everything else you can do with them...stack them up, build towers, knock them over, etc. The knocking them over part was a favorite.

Sofia and Olivia also got to meet Chelsea Marceau, my cousin Jenna's hamster. Needless to say, they fell in love. Especially Sofia who has a stuffed animal hamster (Legopini) that she takes with her just about everywhere. I see buying another hamster in our new future.

After a very long and fun-filled day, it's back to the hotel to read and get ready for bed. I think the girls fell in love with the hotel room. Don't they all look comfortable?

At an EatnPark for breakfast just this morning. Good times. Olivia's squished-up smiley face gets me every time.

Yes, those are hot chocolates because we needed them this morning.

Sleepy Chase. Such a good baby to sleep through breakfast so my brother and sister-in-law could eat in peace. Love that little face!

Back to Aunt Roseanne and Uncle Paul's place for more fun with Chelsea...

breakfast for Chase,

and pictures, pictures, pictures with the family.

Uncle Paul and Anthony watching The Incredible's with the girls.

Over to say our good-byes for now to Grandpa and Grandma Pitocco. Grandpa was tickling Chase's feet and the interaction was way too adorable for words. This was my favorite picture of the bunch and I just love how all 3 have their best smiles on. Just a simply sweet picture.

The guys, minus Chase, just before heading out to get on the road for home.

Drive home was long, with another much-needed rest stop adding to it along with some on and off rain. But, like we tell Sofia and Olivia, after every rain comes the rainbow. The rainbow was a gorgeous end to our incredible weekend. It was so great to spend the time away with my family and especially with my dad's family and see our grandparents.
